With a decade of experience working with change-making D.C. nonprofits, she has made it her mission to make creative strategy accessible to the communities in which she believes in. After several years of freelancing, Alex saw an opportunity to carve out a community for purpose-driven organizations to find accessible creative solutions. The result: Brite Spot Creative.

Through local organizations like DC History Center, Dupont Circle BID, Little Lights, and Project Create, and global organizations like World Central Kitchen and Mighty Earth, Alex leverages her expertise to design and implement creative campaigns that advance their missions and reach their communities. These campaigns have become a staple in these groups’ donor stewardship programs and programatic acitvities.

At the Heurich House Museum, Alex leads marketing and communications efforts through creative design, partner engagement, and digital strategy. Alex began her professional career at local food and education equity nonprofit Martha’s Table, where she advanced their digital and brand presence. She created the organization's first brand and style guide, which team members use for all communications engagements—from #GivingTuesday to community newsletters to building signage.

Alex has a Master of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations & Strategic Communications from American University where she also studied the history of social justice movements in America. She is originally from New York.
